Martiros Sarian (1880 -1972) is one of the greatest Armenian painters of the 20th century. Meanwhile, he was the founder of a modern Armenian national school of painting.
“Color is a genuine miracle”, the painter said. “In combination with sunlight, it expresses the spirit of object’s shape and the essence of universal existence”.

I found out about Matian notebooks quite accidentally a year ago. They became my favourite! I can’t believe my country produces these very high quality notebooks. I guess they should do more branding and marketing and they should sell their notebooks in more bookshops. Currently, I can only find them in Zangak. I especially love the book cover ones featuring art but Saryan ones are difficult to find even in Zangak so I usually order. Would love to see more Saryan and other Armenian artists soon. I ordered already two times and asked in my order to deliver it in a day as I was had limited time and had to gift it. The delivery was professional, flexible and fast! Love the quality, the delivery and the topics! what else do you need for the best notebooks?
